Carissa grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and began working at an animal shelter at the age of 18. She has been working with dogs ever since. Carissa is familiar with many breeds and has a background in veterinary medicine.Carissa became interested in training while working at the animal shelter. Many of the dogs who came in did not have great manners, so she assisted the training team in teaching basic obedience to increase their chances of being adopted.She has 2 dogs of her own. Rubix (American bulldog mix) and Levi (Coton de Tulear) that she adopted upon moving to Columbus in the spring of 2022. When not training, Carissa enjoys reading and photography. You can never have too many photos of your pets!
